Labores

A meeting of past and present. Craftsmanship and fashion converse in each piece, bringing us closer to our history. Mending after mending, I speak from the Galician context; humbly postulating myself to every detail that recalls the home and traditions of Galicia. The silhouettes of the pieces evoke archetypal garments such as the coroza. With the help of wicker and patchwork, the pieces achieve the rigidity demanded by the figure. This rigidity is compensated by thousands of delicate seams, which make the styling uniform.
Melancholy and tradition are not the only concepts in this collection, as it is created with recycled materials. The use of Portuguese cloths, reworked knitted masks, paintings reminiscent of the apron and old blankets, is designed to create a costume full of colours and textures. Deepenin into our Celtic past and making an exercise in our historical memory
